Drug peddler caught in police raid |
A BAHRAINI man has been arrested for trying to sell hashish to an undercover police officer in a Manama hotel.
| The defendant, 25, was reported to the police by sources, who confirmed he had been selling drugs in the area, a Public Prosecution spokesman said yesterday.
They set up a sting operation to catch the man and sent an undercover agent to buy drugs from him.
|  | They met at an unnamed hotel in Manama where the exchange took place and police arrived to arrest the Bahraini.

The spokesman said a search warrant was issued for his home in Manama and police also found 19kg of hashish.
During interrogation, he confessed to the charges and claimed he was getting the drugs from an anonymous seller.
The man has been remanded in custody on charges of possessing and selling drugs and will remain there until his case goes to court next week.
