Six-month jail term for hashish smuggler |
| A MAN who strapped pieces of hashish to his back using tape and tried to board a plane to Qatar was jailed for six months yesterday. | The 29-year-old Qatari was stopped at Bahrain International Airport by a police officer who noticed an unusual bulge on his back.
During questioning he claimed he bought the drugs, weighing 400 grams, for BD800 from a man at a hotel near Bab Al Bahrain.

He said he planned to sell once he arrived in Doha. The defendant was sentenced yesterday by the Lower Criminal court, which also fined him BD500. | | http://www.gulf-daily-news.com | |
