which were growing in a hydroponic set-up in four rooms of the house.

A 29-year-old man was arrested at the house and later charged with cultivating an enhanced indoor prohibited plant in the presence of children.

He has been refused bail and will face Campbelltown Local Court today.

In an unconnected raid, police allegedly found a hydroponic cannabis set-up and 213 plants at a house at Carlingford in Sydney's north.

Police searched a house in Ebony Avenue about 2.30pm yesterday, arresting a 58-year-old man.

He was later charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and altering an electricity installation.

He was refused bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court later today.

The charges come as officers of Strike Force Pennington, a major anti-cannabis operation in Sydney's west, carried out another raid.

Police have so far raided 15 houses in the operation, seizing more than $6 million worth of cannabis and charging nine people.

More raids are expected.

In the latest raid, officers seized cannabis worth $550,000 from a house in Woodview Road at Oxley Park yesterday.

Police found a sophisticated hydroponic set-up and 110 large plants at the house, which was raided about 6am.

Following up on a public tip-off, officers then went to a house in Bennett Road at Colyton, where they allegedly found a man in the process of removing plants from the home.

A 48-year-old man has been charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and operating a drug premises.

He was refused bail and is due to appear at Penrith Local Court later today.
