A MAN and a woman have been charged after police found $2 million worth of cannabis growing inside two homes in Sydney's southwest.
Police allegedly found sophisticated hydroponic equipment inside two houses in Rawson Rd, Fairfield West after conducting raids about 7am (AEDT) yesterday.

Police seized 415 cannabis plants and leaf matter with an estimated street value of $2 million.

Officers also found a sum of cash in one of the houses.

A 48-year-old Fairfield woman has been charged with possessing a prohibited drug, supplying a prohibited drug, allowing a house to be used as drug premises, cultivation offences, concealing a serious indictable offence, having goods in custody and diverting electricity.

A 38-year-old Fairfield man has been charged with cultivating a prohibited plant, organising a drug premises and diverting electricity.

The man and woman were refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court today.
