German basketball team suspends American forward Nate Fox for cannabis use
FRANKFURT, Germany: American forward Nate Fox was suspended for the season Friday and faces punishment from the German Bundesliga basketball league after a positive test for cannabis use.

The 30-year-old was tested after his team the Bayer Giants Leverkusen played the Skyliners Frankfurt on March 2.

"Cannabis consumption must not be seen as a minor thing," league business manager Jan Pommer said, adding that players know the rules and should act as role models.

Fox, whose team is in second place in the standings, has acknowledged using cannabis.
