Spanish police smash drug trafficking rings with 31 arrests |
Police in Spain said Saturday they have smashed two international drug trafficking rings, arresting 31 people and seizing six tonnes of hashish, AFP reports.
Among those arrested were 16 Spanish citizens as well as Colombian, Croatian, French, Ukrainian, Russian and Czech nationals, police said in a statement.
Police also seized eight cars, several which had been modified to hide narcotics, as well as three speedboats which are often used by traffickers to transport hashish from Spain to Morocco across the Strait of Gibraltar. This is what "tons" of hashish looks like..
