National gendarmerie brigade in Adrar Wilaya has managed yesterday to confiscate 2060 cannabis plants in a 5-hectar private plantation.

 

 

According to sources, the search of the house of the indicted on general prosecutor order which allowed the confiscation of 110 plants for marketing and consumption.

According to the same sources, some Southern Wilayas mainly Adrar are famous with drugs plantations in tea one and other plants in the region, however the intensive activity led by national gendarmerie managed to control the phenomenon and eradicating it.

To recall El Khabar has published reports of its correspondents in border Wilayas showing that the smugglers have changed their way, they cross Tlemcen to Tindouf, where they are influenced by Moroccan smugglers.

Noteworthy national gendarmerie services have arrested since January 2006, 14 people for more than 670 hallucinogenic plants in Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia and Boumerdès.
