Malta - cannabis resin find |

Just under half a kilogramme of cannabis resin was seized by Police from a Wied il-Għajn apartment on Wednesday. The drug, found in circumstances that indicated it was about to be trafficked, was found in an apartment in Triq is-Sliem, belonging to a 22-year-old man from Cospicua. The man, a Wied il-Għajn resident, is being held by Police for further investigations. The find was made after numerous weeks of investigation. A search carried out in the apartment also yielded other drug-related objects. 
Duty Magistrate Antonio Mizzi was informed of the case and appointed various experts to assist in an inquiry.
It is not excluded that some persons might be arraigned in Court in the upcoming days in relation to the case.
Police investigations continue.
