God-is-a-Cannabis Cultivating Criminal
It is a widely held belief in Christianity that God created The Earth and is responsible for the functionality of what pesky scientists call 'natural systems.' One such system is the lifecycle of a plant.
God created a small genetic blueprint called a seed, the seed works in conjunction with a miraculous mechanism

that enables water, soil and Gods engineering marvel to interact and produce a seedling, the young seedling takes up nutrients from the soil and food is synthesized via the photo reactive molecules that God engineered into the young seedlings leaves.

Tended to and cared for by Gods love (ahem 'natural system') the seedling grows into an adult plant, blooms and then die's. It is a short life but a life none the same, all engineered and maintained directly by God.

What if the plant is Cannabis? Assume for a moment that Creationism is true, why then does Gordon Brown, the son of a church minister continue to make God (The guy/girl/gas? behind the largest Cannabis cultivation operation on Earth) a criminal?

Father would not be happy!

To be serious for a moment, If Gordon Brown does go it alone and rejects the advice of the ACMD (Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs) regarding Cannabis reclassification, it would be a hollow victory for ignorance and further evidence of Browns ostentatious denial of logic.

The futility of the laws relating to Cannabis are blatantly obvious, it is estimated that the UK has 4 million regular Cannabis users. This is a staggering percentage of the population to criminalize, while the requirements to dutifully deal with such numbers would cripple the police force completely. Surely, police time would be better spent catching real criminals?

No, that would be too easy!

Instead, Gordon Brown’s whimsical stance proposes the creation of a massive criminal demographic, serviced by the ‘real’ criminal underworld, what an ingenious idea!

As a direct result of prohibition, criminal elements become responsible for supplying Marijuana onto the streets of Britain.

Prohibition clearly does not work, wherever there is a requirement for a product, there will be someone to meet that demand. It would be a better solution all together if Cannabis was legalised, taxed and regulated, this would cut out the criminal element and the 4 million regular cannabis users in the UK would no longer have to be exposed to criminal drug dealers, who incidentally sell ‘real’ drugs alongside Cannabis.

What about the threat of severe mental problems and Schizophrenia?

Surely this is justification to upgrade the status of Cannabis? Well maybe, if it were true; there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever to suggest that there is any link between Cannabis consumption and the onset of severe mental illness.

Whilst worldwide consumption of Cannabis has been increasing, incidences of Schizophrenia have been decreasing! Even the most intellectually challenged amongst us should be able to see the correlation.

Gordon Brown recently referred to Cannabis as being ‘lethal’, come on Gordon, this kind of misinformed commentary almost deserves no rebuttal due to its emotive nature and sheer idiocy.

I cannot understand how Cannabis could be lethal, in terms of toxicology you would suffer lethal consequences far sooner by ingesting Coffee, Alcohol, Nicotine or salt in high concentrations. Most scientists agree that you could not physically consume enough Cannabis to suffer lethal consequences!

Sadly I feel it is inevitable  that Gordon Brown will act in the interest of his own political ambitions and reclassify Cannabis back to grade B status. It will not make one bit of difference to the Cannabis community at all, it was here before you Gordon and it will be here long after you are reclassified back to Joe Public.
