Fox news excludes Ron Paul from possible marijuana debate
http://cannazine.co.uk : An upcoming televised debate for republican presidential candidates staged by Fox news, and set for broadcast on January 6th, is due to take place WITHOUT one of the campaign's front runners.

This, according to the New Hampshire State Republican Party.

"Ron Paul 2008" campaign chairman Kent Snyder said "Given Ron Paul’s support in New Hampshire and his recent historic fundraising success, it is outrageous that Dr. Paul would be excluded."

Snyder continued, “Paul supporters should know that we are continuing to make inquiries with Fox News as to why they have apparently excluded Dr. Paul from this event.”

Dr Ron Paul
Fox news are well known for their anti-cannabis views, which are the polar opposite of those Ron Paul supports and any televised debate which includes Obama, Clinton, as well as those mentioned below is sure to touch on the medical marijuana issue, so to willfully exclude the only candidate who has expressed support for medical marijuana, is tantamount to cheating!

Dr Paul famously proclaimed "I will remove medical marijuana from the war on drugs, and I will pardon non-violent marijuana prisoners when I am president of the US".

A viewpoint which as his opponents are only too aware, has earnt Dr Paul no small number of supporters, as the start of the primary's looms large on the horizon - the pre-cursor for the presidential campaign getting underway in earnest.

Meanwhile fellow republican candidates Rudi Giuliani, Mitt Romney and John McCain oppose legislating in favour of medical cannabis, prefering the pharmaceutical option of highly addictive opioid derived drugs and if Fox News exclude Dr Paul from this debate, thousands of medical marijuana patients (read:US voters) will feel they have also been excluded from the presidential debate.

Is the democratic right for Fox News to exclude whoever they see fit, or does this actually fly in the face of democracy?

Your comments are very welcome.
