The woman, whose name Marcus refused to release, called police from the Circle L Motel at 12:56 p.m. to report that her 68-year-old mother-in-law had stolen a coffee pot.

A 35-year-old man, whose relationship to the woman was not clear at press time, told officers while they were investigating the theft report that he’d seen the 28-year-old give her daughter marijuana multiple times over the summer.
