Pembrokeshire UK: Police had to wait for man to "pass" heroin wrap
..and who said the war on drugs wasn't a war waged against drug users? One man in West Wales is looking at a custodial sentence for the sake a £10 heroin deal. Don't the prisons have enough to worry about at the moment?
Police who spotted a man acting suspiciously in Clay Lane, Haverfordwest, had to take him into custody and keep him under 24 hour supervision after he swallowed what appeared to be a wrap of heroin.

Officers had to wait until David Jeffrey, of 71 College Court, Haverfordwest, to pass the object before they could charge him.

Jeffrey, aged 35, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug and obstructing police during a search.

James Subiani, defending, said that the wrap was worth around £10.
Magistrates today adjourned sentencing for the production of probation service reports and warned Jeffrey that he was looking at a high community order or even a custodial sentence.
Jeffrey was released on conditional bail until sentencing on May 28th.
