These days setting up a winter of travelling is as simple as settling down for an evening in front of t'internet.

Everything is right there at your fingertips as long as you're prepared to put a little bit of research time in.

For the wisened traveller, the globe gets smaller every day, and even some of the most remote cannabis regions in the world have been made accessible as a result of this 'new' method of distributing information.

But at the start of the 70's, (1973 to be precise), things were a little different.

There was no Internet to use, and any thought of travelling to countries such as Iran, India, Nepal and Afghanistan, were fraught with danger and uncertainty.
