During all the rush and enthusiasm of setting up a new cannabis grow it can be all to easy to fall into the novice growers trap.
So many people have kind offers of help, advice, and often, more than the odd cutting or two.
Pretty soon, the "small-grow-to-become-self-sufficient" you promised she who must be obeyed has turned into the Amazonian rain forest over night, as your newly acquired specimens settle in and start to compete for the light.
And this is the problem. Your growing lamp only gives off so many lumens of useable light.
So, those x amount of lumens are getting spread that little bit thinner everytime you add plants to the grow room.
C99 from FDM Seeds - dense solid nugz - the holy grail
Message boards Out on the message boards its the same old story.
Novice growers, who have done everything by the book (which ever book they bought to do "it" by) will publicly wonder why their buds are not as dense or compact as others they've seen, and here's the heads up. starting out try to keep your cuttings or seedling as uniform as possible Keen as mustard When you first start out its all to common to receive offers of cuttings. Happens all the time.
Thing is, in a bid not to seem impolite, (a frightfully British word if ever there was one) no-one likes to say no to the offers of cuttings, and in a bid to seem like a friendly & knowledgeable grower, you most likely go on to grow them and show them off.
And then you wonder, to your most trusted confidante, why your buds were perhaps not as dense as they could have been! not the largest by any stretch but I always know exactly what I'm going to getShare the goodnessNever mind trying to look like grower of the year. Just do your own thing. It will pay back dividends later. Everytime you add a plant to your grow room, apart from the added risk of spidermites and other bad guys, you also spread your light a little bit thinner each time. beautiful - organically grown C99 - dense and rock hard This is made even worse if your plants are all at different distances from the light source, due to the height differences which different strains make apparent throughout a grow.
For some plants, the lamps can be so high to accomodate a taller specimen, that it might as well not be under a lamp, and this causes light, fluffy buds, so now you know!
my own particular 'cream of the crop' Keep them all at a uniform level and distance from the lamp, throughout the entire grow and reap the rewards later.
