WASHINGTON — Vice-President Dick Cheney said Thursday that he sees no reason for President George W. Bush to pre-emptively pardon anyone at the CIA involved in harsh interrogations of suspected terrorists. “I don't have any reason to believe that anybody in the agency did anything illegal,” he said.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Mr. Cheney also said that Mr. Bush has no need to apologize for not foreseeing the economic crisis.

“I don't think he needs to apologize. I think what he needed to do is take bold, aggressive action and he has,” Mr. Cheney said.

“I don't think anybody saw it coming,” he said.

I live in Alaska and have a forty acre land with about fifteen acres of good soil. The summers here are very short. We can still plant vegetables, potatoes, carrots, etc., but it is not very profitable.
I think about going to a State with not so extreme weather to be able to live off the land. What do you think? The only thing that makes me stay here are my in-laws (I hate the idea of separating my wife and kids from them) and it is hard to beat the freedom here. However, after 3 weeks of -40 below and colder, it makes you think twice about staying around!!

We are looking for a quiet place, good community, a good place to be self-sufficient. A place that we could survive off the land. Four seasons would be nice. Not too expensive. Not too many regulations. I know, I'm looking for Paradise!

May I suggest that we all print this out and put in a safe place JUST in case 2009 happens to go the way we all think it's going to go.

It teaches many ways to make bread, biscuits, pizza dough, etc without an oven. Good info to have if there were a power outage or if tshtf.
