Alli and Xenical Makers Defend Weight Loss Drugs
Manufacturers of the worlds most popular weight loss drugs, (alli, made by Glaxo and Xenical, made by Roche), have hit back over what they're calling false claims, which link the common constituent in both products, the drug Orlistat, to possibly causing cases of liver damage, and even Hepatitis.

Orlistat is the primary ingredient in both alli, and Xenical weight loss pills

A British newspaper carried reports from some users which claimed Orlistat could have been responible. Indeed the Food and Drug Administration in the US has taken the new claims so seriously, they are now monitoring the situation carefully.

The manufacturers however remain adamant their products, which are enjoyed by millions of users around the world, are safe.

A spokesperson involved with the distribution of alli said, "when a product is used by as many people as have used alli over the last three years its fair to assume a small percentage of the population could, as with any drug, have an adverse reaction to using it".

"But we're happy and confident in our safety and research procedures" she continued, "and we believe orlistat still has a great deal to offer 99.99% of its users".
Going one step further, the FDA later said that because orlistat was included on the FDA list of products with potential signals of serious risks or new safety information this did not mean it had concluded that a risk existed.

Meaning consumers who are obese, or who are perhaps approaching obesity, are still encouraged to consider over-the-counter alli, or prescription medication Xenical, when all other weight-loss avenues have failed.

You can now buy generic alli (Orlistat) without the embarrasing pre-purchase question & answer session, from speciality online pharmacy 'Pharmacy-i.Com'.
