In the meantime pharmaceutical manufacturers of other controlled treatments, such as those for high cholesterol, for weight loss and for birth control and pain relief are given carte blanche to advertize what they like, when they like.
Epidemic In the meantime the United States is buckling under an epidemic of prescription drug abuse, with pain killers such as Vicoden and OxyContin claiming literally thousands of young lives every year, and thats without even getting into the alcohol argument.
