Get used to what the pills look like in the picture below as buprenophine, or "Bupes" as they're known on the street, a prescription drug prescribed to heroin addicts, are a new phenomena sweeping the US and Canada, and apparently, they just arrived in the UK within the last year.. | A boy of 15 died after taking what he thought was an ecstasy pill when it was really a dangerous drug used by heroin addicts to kick their habit.
| Jonathan Higgins, described by a teacher as charming and intelligent, bought what he believed was the dance drug from a stranger last February.  buprenophine, or "Bupes" as they're known on the street - prescribed as a treatment for heroin addiction, are now finding their way into the hands of school children Instead, he and his friend Richard Burton took buprenophine, which is normally only prescribed to hardened addicts and can be fatal if mixed with alcohol.

They went for a drink in a pub but Jonathan, 15, left soon afterwards, slipped into a coma and was found dead on his sofa the next morning by his mother Fiona Phillips.
She told the inquest in their home town of Wakefield, West Yorkshire: 'I cannot believe my wonderful son has gone. I don't want it to happen to anyone else.'
A man has been arrested and charged with supplying Class C drugs and offering to supply Class A drugs. He is due for trial in March.
Recording a verdict of misadventure, coroner David Hinchliff said: "Peddling such a dangerous substance is a despicable act in itself. To let people believe it's ecstasy when it is something even more dangerous is a terrible thing to do."
