Riding a skateboard brings with it many different skills people just dont realise exist.

 

Its not ALL about hurling yourself off the top off a 16 foot vert ramp - looking rad and cool as you hurtle at breakneck speed to the top of the opposite side, kick a flippy, and return from whence you came.

 

For many years Rodney Mullen has been the undoubted leader - by a country mile, when it comes to putting moves togather on a plank of wood which rolls.

 

The noise people made a couple of year back when D-Way jumped the mega-ramp? People been making that noise for years about Rodney Mullen.

 

The surprising factor in this is no one has yet over-hauled the mullen-meister when it comes to dancing in motion so he remains at the top of his field, and there's not a thing that Hawk, Margera, Burnquist, et al can do about it.

 

So for being a street-skating god for just about as long as street-skating gods have existed, Rodney Mullen, we salute you.
