Can CBD and Thyroid Medicine Work Together?

If you’re among the millions of individuals suffering from thyroid dysfunction, you might have already learned about CBD and thyroid medicine by now. If not, well you should understand that many thousands of other individuals have used this natural remedy to alleviate the symptoms of their thyroid disease. It has been reported that up to 70 percent of individuals who have been prescribed medication for hypothyroidism have experienced an improvement in their symptoms after taking CBD. What does this mean? It means you can begin to take advantage of this powerful treatment without having to worry about unpleasant side effects such as those associated with some conventional treatments for thyroid dysfunction.

So just what is CBD and thyroid medicine which is extracted from the cannabis plant? This is actually a very common question. The answer to this question will depend on whom you ask it to. On one hand, experts will tell you that CBD is the miracle drug of the 21st century. Others, however, say that there is no such thing as CBD because the plant has only been cultivated over the last fifty years. Still others believe that medical marijuana is a substance that is scientifically valid, but is nothing more than an illegal version of medical marijuana which is being made from a strain of cannabis which is extremely high in THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).

So now that we have defined what CBD and thyroid medicine is, we need to get down to the nitty gritty and figure out exactly how it works. Well, it’s the same basic principle behind the use of medical marijuana. The THC is locked inside of your brain where it causes the “high” that makes CBD so special. What it does is bind with and disrupts the THC receptors deep within your brain, thus reducing your body’s production of THC and allowing your body to begin producing its own thyroid hormones. In short, CBD and thyroid medication is a natural way to treat chronic thyroid problems.

Now, I’m not going to kid you, I did have to look that up myself because I am a researcher. The thing is, we don’t really understand how CBD affects your brain the way that medical marijuana does. As far as I know, though, there is only one true way to break the CBD spell (which may also be the reason why scientists are so stumped as to what CBD can do for us), and that is by taking an all natural herbal supplement which contains a CBD extract along with a carefully chosen blend of vitamins and herbs. Of course, if you don’t have these ingredients in your typical herbal supplement, then you’re just spinning your wheels…and I don’t think that anyone who truly wants to treat their chronic thyroid disease with a natural way would ever elect to ingest anything other than totally safe and effective all natural ingredients. Not only will these plants help you, they will actually save you money in the long run!

Of course, CBD and thyroid medicine which is extracted from the hemp plant (which by the way, is the most abundant source of CBD today), is by no means the only way to improve your thyroid health. In fact, there are many alternative therapies that can do it for you, including things like acupuncture, acupressure, hypnosis, meditation, aromatherapy and a hundred others. But none of them are as simple and inexpensive as adding a good CBD extract to a handful of herbs and vitamins.

So, now that you know why, let’s talk about how. There are two ways to get CBD into your body: either by taking pharmaceutical grade CBD drugs which are manufactured and dispensed by doctors and pharmacists in hospitals and other health care facilities, or by taking un-prescribed and unregulated CBD supplements from companies who market them as “CBD medicine which is extracted from the hemp plant”. Neither of these options will offer you the same kind of health benefits, both short term and long term, as can be obtained by taking medical marijuana. In fact, when it comes to fighting off various kinds of diseases and afflictions which are associated with the common cold, the combination of CBD with medical marijuana is arguably even more potent than the plant itself.

But CBD and medical marijuana are not the only combinations that are effective. There are many other natural combinations which work very well, as well as combinations which are simply not known as medicine at all. For example, there is currently a study going on at the University of Florida which is investigating whether the combination of aspirin and CBD works better than just aspirin alone. And there are even investigations going on at different hospitals, which are investigating combinations of green tea and CBD to treat asthma and other conditions.

You may be asking yourself at this point: so why should you buy medicine from a CBD company anyhow? Well, the simple answer is that they don’t make any money from selling pharmaceuticals or conventional prescriptions! That is why they are willing to give you free CBD advice and to help you make decisions about what types of CBD and other natural supplements are right for you. They realize that most people have no idea what is going into their health care and that is why they are willing to do all that they can to make sure that they have access to the right information. Please consider all this.
